Boy its expensive, but I would pay it to them a thousand times over for what they did for us. My cat had a kitten stuck in the birth canal, and we all thought it was dead, and they managed to not only remove it and save the kitten without a c-section, but took very good care of my mommy cat, the newborn, and myself, as I was a hysterical mess. They worked with me kindly and spoke to me gently and as though I were a human being and truly wanted to help. They didn't do anything without explaining it to me clearly and worked with me about options, and worked quickly which was important. But most of all they saved the kitten that was thought to have died! It is worth the money, my baby was saved. They even brought me to the back to see the baby and mommy and they all seemed happy about the new kitten.
If your pet has an emergency, go here.
Very kind and humane staff that helped us going thru the hardest moment when we had to let go our fur baby Hylee.
When your four legged family member needs emergence vet services at night/weekend/holidays you want the ER for them. We have been twice (2006 & 2017) with two different cats and appreciate the service and attention from the staff and vet. It can be a busy place and you might have to wait awhile depending on the nature of the illness/injury of your pet or others. We paid $115 up front and then additional costs depending upon the treatment. Bring your pet's medical records as it will help you explain the 'patient' history to improve treatment choices and options.. The vet doesn't speak dog or cat. And make sure your 'pet sitters' know about the place as well as the regular vet just in case.
Great care and fast service even on a holiday when my dog was unexpectedly injured.
After paying my visit fee of $115 I had $70 left on my card, so I asked how much for the shots. The vet came in and told me no charge, he didn't want to take my last $70. Super cool of him, and a really nice guy.
They are very thorough and address all concerns. They were very upfront with pricing and offered several alternative treatments.
On Tuesday of this week (9/19/2017) we lost our beloved golden retriever Tequila. We are absolutely heartbroken over losing her. But we could not have asked for a more compassionate team of professionals than those that assisted us early that morning when we brought her in for care. It was her time, and after over 12 years of loving companionship and faithful friendship, she past.
Just yesterday we received the kindest sympathy card from Dr. Darcey and the team at the clinic. On the card was Tequila's paw print in ink. One last physical memory of her for us to cherish. We were so moved when we read the card. Words cannot express our heart felt gratitude to the Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County, Dr. Darcey, and the team that helped us through a very difficult time in our lives. Dog lovers just get it. God bless.
He took phenomenal care of our cats, thoroughly examining them and accurately diagnosing their problems.
Wonderful people and service. To date, i have had to come to them twice. Once, when my 14 year old Dachshund Gretchen finally figured out she was sick ( She had cancer ). They were quick, Very compassionate, and kind. They made a sad and tough moment as painless to us both as it could get. The second time i needed their help, my 6 year old Dachshund Ezzy had gotten into My meds. They saved her life. After diagnosing what had happened, they treated her, kept her till the next day on fluids, and our family got to bring her home tail wagging. The doctor kept us informed through the whole process. Hopefully i will never have to bring any pet to an emergency clinic again ( Yeah, right! ) but if I do, I feel safe and comfortable bringing them here.
I just have to give a big thank you to everyone at this animal hospital. On Saturday our huskies got in a big tussle resulting in one's ear getting split....
Dr. Yager , tech. Sloone, and receptionist Sam went out of their way to help us in our cat emergency with toothless on may 27, 2017. They did a great job. After talking with them you can tell these people love their job and will do their best to help your pets!!!!!!!!!!
My cat developed some symptoms that were very irritating to him and began to get worse. ( open wound under one ear) I brought him in and was greated by a very nice receptionist, who checked me in right away. Every staff member was not only accommodating to me, but as I sat in the waiting area, I observed how each staff member treated each patient and their owner with the upmost care and respect. The doctor diagnosed the problem my cat was having ( turned out he had a busted ear drum!) and patiently explained to me about the ear drum, and also how she was going to treat the wound and gave me explicit instructions on what I should do afterwards.
Got my dog in quickly and the staff were all really nice!
I was thrilled with the excellent level of professionalism and compassion I encountered at the Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County. My vet suggested...
I have no idea why some of these ratings are so low. I am sure it is a stressful place to work sometimes. I have been in the waiting room when dogs were throwing up blood, cats had had tails bitten off, pets who have been hit by cars come in... The pets are stressed. The owners are stressed. Still the folks at EAHCC have always treated our pets and us with so much love and saved the life of our dog with seizures. I can't thank them enough for providing such a great service so close by.
Dr. Hoyt, Technician Adrienne and receptionist Sam were all wonderful. They are very professional and nice in a stressful situation. Highly recommend this place in a time of need.
Very helpful. Did an amazing job with my elderly cat. Highly recommended.
We had a great experience at Collin County Emergency Animal Hospital - our baby kitty had an abscess on his jaw and the staff took such great care of him!...
They took great care of my pup when she had to stay overnight. They even let us go in the back to visit her before we left because she was already on her treatment.
Such fantastic compassion and care from the staff and doctors. We took our "fur baby" who had been with our family for 10 years into the EAHCC center with a sudden and unexpected condition. Bear was not just an average family pet. He was so special, loving and protective. But he was hurting with a stomach condition we had no knowledge of. The staff were quick to bring a gurney to comfortably take Bear out of our car because he could not walk and weighed 125 lbs. The other staff and doctors were quick and sensitive to Bear's medical needs and our concerns for him. They advised us of our options for surgery without having their own monetary gain in mind. We appreciated the doctor's honest assessment that the surgery likely would cause him to be in more discomfort and pain. Sadly we had to part with our baby. The staff were so compassionate with our sadness and were so gentle with Bear. We're thankful for their honesty and quality of care. Our baby is gone and we've struggled with the sudden loss. In today's mail delivery was an exceptionally nice and thoughtful handwritten card from the staff. This is above and beyond what we ever expected. Thank you to these exceptional people.
But they were awesome in our time of need. A few days later we got a hand written note from them offering condolences. Meant a lot.
The wonderful staff and vets did a great job with my dog when he broke his femur. Unfortunately it turned out he had bone cancer and they broke the news to me with care and respect. They made sure he was in no pain when he had to be put down. They were very helpful with his end of life process and even sent me a condolence card. I cannot thank them enough for helping me through a hard time. Thank you Dr Jaeger and Samantha for all of your help.
Dr. Yager is a life saver!! We brought our cat in on a Saturday after he had surgery for a possible foreign body in his intestines. He was still getting sick...
We've been twice in two weeks. Poor pup has an unlucky anal gland issue. Our dog is quite the handful, and both visits we were taken care of in minutes. The staff were friendly and explained what was going on, and helped calm our nerves. I'll be sure to recommend this place to local friends and family. Thank you guys for taking care of our pup!
The team did wonders for my cat, Rogue, who was bitten by a copperhead. Thank you to Dr. Hoyt and staff!
HanaBelle survive her little critical care. We rescued her right after we had to rehome my nieces cat(I'm allergic to cats). She has been in the hospital...
This is one of the saddest places I've had to visit. Over the years, we've had to put to sleep three pets at this facility because of age/illness. Each time, it's been heart-breaking but the veterinarians and staff have made it easier with their professional demeanor and support. They use the two-shot method of putting an animal to sleep so that the first one allows your pet to drift into unconsciousness. It's peaceful. We've also taken pets here on two other occasions after hours and were very pleased with treatment rendered. Is it cheap? No. Worth it? Absolutely.
I was absolutely heartbroken and freaked out whenever I brought my dog in, and the staff was so patient and kind! I would highly recommend this emergency vet...
Our ER Vet was Dr. Christian Hoyt. There were several team members who helped us during our German Shepherd's overnight stay, from the front desk staff to the vet techs. I called almost every 2 hours for glucose results and no one complained I was calling so much. In fact, I was encouraged to call to check on my baby with fur. Dr. Hoyt was very patient, explaining to my husband and me, our dog's diagnosis. Dr. Hoyt was professional and empathetic. I am in healthcare, a nurse, I think he and the staff took care of our dog exactly how he needed to be cared for. Thank you all for what you do.
We were directed to this ER facility by my son & daughter-in-law, so great full. Sparky was treated very well. Bill and Theresa
I went in with my senior dog at 6:30 this morning and was so scared and left relieved. Luckily, my pet's issue was resolved but moreover the staff and vet were wonderful. Genevieve at the front desk was extremely kind and called someone up to get my dog seen quickly. Eric came up to take him back and listened to everything I had to say about my dog's medical history and current issue. By the end of the visit my dog seemed to have made a new friend in him. Dr. Bridges was kind and informative. The examination was thorough and treatment was spot on. We had zero wait time to get my dog seen and were out of the office under 2 hours. I expected, due to the nature of emergent care, to pay a lot but honestly the prices weren't as bad as I'd anticipated. By the time I arrived at my regular vet to update them and give them a copy of the ER records, they had already received them via fax. Hopefully, I will never need emergent services again but I can tell you without a doubt that if I do I will return here!
I took an injured wild rabbit there this afternoon, and the doctor was so kind and professional! She took him and charged me nothing. I was so grateful to her, because I wouldn't have know what to do. Big thanks to your clinic!
